Sinopec L-CKD 460 Heavy Duty Industrial Gear Oil is a high-performance extreme pressure gear lubricant formulated from high-quality mineral base oils and an advanced multifunctional EP additive system. ISO VG 460 is one of the most widely used heavy viscosity grades in UK mining, quarrying and bulk materials handling operations, specified for large, heavily loaded and slow-speed enclosed gearboxes where maximum film thickness and load-carrying capacity are required. The L-CKD 460 provides a viscosity index of 97, flash point of 238°C and pour point of -9°C, with FZG scuffing performance at load stage 12+, Four Ball EP weld load of 315kg, load wear index of 588 and Timken OK load of 60lb. David Brown S1.53.101 approved.

The 200L drum is the standard supply format for industrial gearbox lubrication, suited to maintenance departments and facilities servicing large enclosed gear drives and circulating systems on scheduled maintenance intervals.

• Oxidation and thermal stability. Advanced antioxidant chemistry minimises sludge and varnish formation at elevated bulk oil temperatures in continuously operating large gearboxes, extending drain intervals and reducing maintenance costs.
• Corrosion protection. Passes ASTM D665B rust prevention in synthetic sea water with a copper corrosion rating of 1b, providing reliable protection for ferrous and non-ferrous components in wet or contaminated industrial environments.
• Water separation. Rapid demulsibility at 82°C ensures effective separation of water contamination from large gearbox sumps, preventing emulsion formation and protecting gear and bearing surfaces from corrosion fatigue.
• Foam and air release. Low foaming tendency across all three ASTM D892 sequences maintains optimum oil film thickness in large-sump gearboxes and reduces the risk of wear and leakage from gear housings and reservoirs.
• Seal compatibility. Compatible with common elastomeric seal materials used in large enclosed industrial gear drive applications, minimising leakage and extending seal service life.

Sinopec L-CKD 460 Heavy Duty Industrial Gear Oil is recommended for large, slow-speed and heavily loaded enclosed gear drives in mining, quarrying, bulk materials handling and heavy processing industries where ISO VG 460 is specified by the OEM or maintenance schedule. Typical applications include ball mill and SAG mill drives, large rotary kiln and dryer drives, bucket elevator drives, heavy aggregate conveyor drives and primary crusher drives. Also suitable for plain and antifriction bearings and circulating oil systems in heavy industrial equipment.
