Shipping policy

Last updated: 27 January 2026

This Shipping Policy explains how orders placed with Sinopec Online are processed, dispatched, delivered, and handled. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms set out in this policy.

Pails

Pails are delivered using UPS parcel services. The delivery service available is determined at checkout based on the destination and order details. Orders containing pails may be delivered separately from palletised items.

Drums and IBCs

Drums and IBCs are delivered on pallets using freight services. Depending on the delivery location, Economy or Premium pallet delivery may be available. Delivery times vary by location and access conditions.

Offshore Deliveries

Offshore pallet deliveries are available using an Economy service only. Delivery times vary by destination and will be confirmed once the order has been processed. Additional conditions may apply.

Warehouse Collection

Warehouse collection is available for eligible orders at no cost. Orders are usually ready for collection within two hours during business hours. Collection availability will be confirmed once the order is processed.

Warehouse Collection Conditions

Goods will only be released for collection upon confirmation that the order is ready. Customers or their representatives must present order confirmation and suitable identification at the time of collection.

Dispatch Policy

Orders placed before 12:00 GMT or BST on a business day are normally dispatched the same business day. Orders placed after 12:00 are normally dispatched the next business day.

Some products may have longer handling or preparation times.

Dispatch times may be affected by factors outside our control, including weather conditions, carrier capacity, or operational disruption.

Delivery Times

All delivery times provided are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delivery times may vary due to carrier delays, weather conditions, access restrictions, delivery location, or seasonal demand.

Sinopec Online is not responsible for delays caused by carriers or circumstances beyond our control.

Tracking

All dispatched orders include tracking. Once your order has been dispatched, a tracking link will be sent to the email address provided at checkout.

For pallet deliveries, tracking information may show depot or transit updates before a delivery date is confirmed by the carrier.

Delivery Address and Access Requirements

Customers are responsible for providing a complete, accurate, and accessible delivery address. Delivery may be delayed or unsuccessful if address details are incorrect or incomplete, access is restricted, or the site is unsuitable for large delivery vehicles.

Delivery to construction sites, contractor yards, or temporary locations is made at the customer’s risk.

Unloading and Tail Lift Requirements

Customers must ensure suitable unloading equipment is available at the delivery location. If unloading equipment is not available, this must be clearly indicated at checkout.

Some pallet deliveries require a tail lift vehicle. If delivery cannot be completed due to missing unloading information or unsuitable access, additional charges may apply for redelivery or return.

Split Deliveries

Orders may be delivered in multiple consignments. This may occur when items are dispatched from different locations, require different delivery methods, or where carrier constraints apply.

Damaged or Unsatisfactory Deliveries

Customers should inspect deliveries upon arrival. If a delivery arrives damaged or unsatisfactory, please contact shipping@sinopeconline.com with your order number and clear photographic evidence as soon as possible.

Minor cosmetic damage, such as light dents to metal containers, may occur during transport and does not affect product performance or suitability.

Difficult Access Locations

Some delivery locations may be subject to additional conditions due to access limitations, including narrow roads, weight or height restrictions, or residential access constraints.

Certain locations may require extended delivery times or incur additional charges. If you are unsure about delivery to your location, please contact sales@sinopeconline.com before placing an order.

Failed Deliveries

A delivery may be deemed failed if access is unsuitable, unloading equipment is unavailable, no authorised recipient is present where required, or incorrect address details are provided.

Failed deliveries may result in additional charges for redelivery or return.

Northern Ireland and European Union Deliveries

Deliveries to Northern Ireland and the European Union are arranged separately and may be subject to additional requirements.

To arrange delivery, please contact Sinopec Online by phone on +44 020 8068 3444 or by email at sales@sinopeconline.com.

Policy Updates

Sinopec Online reserves the right to update this Shipping Policy at any time. The version published on the website at the time of ordering will apply.

Risk and Responsibility

Risk in the goods passes to the customer once delivery has been completed or a delivery attempt has been made at the address provided. Where warehouse collection is selected, risk passes once the goods are released to the customer or their authorised representative.

Force Majeure

Sinopec Online is not liable for delays or failure to deliver caused by events beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, extreme weather, strikes, carrier disruption, accidents, fuel shortages, or government restrictions.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Shipping Policy and any dispute or claim arising from it are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
