United Kingdom, June 2026. Sinopec Online, an independent distributor of Sinopec products in the United Kingdom, today announces a price cap on two of its core product lines in response to the exceptional volatility currently affecting global oil and lubricant markets.
With effect from today, and until at least the end of July 2026, Sinopec Online commits to the following maximum prices across its UK range:
- L-HM HPC Hydraulic Oils: capped at £2.30 per litre
- E7/E9/E11 Heavy Duty Engine Oils: capped at £3.00 per litre
Protecting our customers through a period of market disruption
Since the start of the crisis in the Middle East, international prices for crude oil, base oils and refined products have risen sharply and remained highly unstable. Disruption to shipping routes and reduced output across the region have pushed input costs to multi-year highs, and these pressures have been felt across the entire lubricants supply chain.
Many of our customers, from hauliers and plant operators to agricultural businesses and independent workshops, depend on hydraulic and engine oils to keep their operations running. We recognise that unpredictable costs are among the greatest challenges they face in the current environment.
In this context, and in order to continue protecting its customers in the United Kingdom, Sinopec Online has decided to absorb a portion of these increased costs rather than pass them on in full. The price caps announced today guarantee that, whatever happens in global markets over the coming weeks, our customers will not pay more than £2.30 per litre for hydraulic oils or £3.00 per litre for E7, E9 and E11 heavy duty engine oil.
A transparent commitment
Sinopec Online also commits to passing on any declines in international prices to its customers without delay. Should global markets ease and our input costs fall, our prices will fall with them. The caps announced today are maximum prices, not fixed prices.
These measures apply to all qualifying hydraulic and E7, E9 and E11 heavy duty engine oil products distributed by Sinopec Online in the United Kingdom.
Review
Sinopec Online will reassess the situation at the end of July 2026 in light of global oil and lubricant markets, and will communicate any changes to this policy in advance.
