Sinopec L-CKD 320 Heavy Duty Industrial Gear Oil is a high-performance extreme pressure gear lubricant formulated from high-quality mineral base oils and an advanced multifunctional EP additive system. ISO VG 320 is specified for slower-speed enclosed gearboxes, heavily loaded drives and applications where a higher viscosity oil film is required to maintain reliable gear tooth and bearing protection under sustained load. The L-CKD 320 provides a viscosity index of 92, flash point of 250°C and pour point of -9°C, with FZG scuffing performance at load stage 12+, Four Ball EP weld load of 315kg, load wear index of 565 and Timken OK load of 60lb. David Brown S1.53.101 approved.

The 200L drum is the standard supply format for industrial gearbox lubrication, suited to maintenance departments and facilities servicing slow-speed enclosed gear drives on scheduled maintenance intervals.

Key Features

Extreme pressure and antiwear performance. FZG fail load stage 12+, Four Ball EP weld load of 315kg, load wear index of 565 and Timken OK load of 60lb provide reliable protection of gear teeth and bearing surfaces against seizure, scuffing, spalling and wear in slow-speed, heavily loaded gear drives.
Oxidation and thermal stability. Advanced antioxidant chemistry minimises sludge and varnish formation at elevated bulk oil temperatures, maintaining lubricant integrity and extending drain intervals in continuously operating gear drives.
Corrosion protection. Passes ASTM D665B rust prevention in synthetic sea water with a copper corrosion rating of 1b, providing reliable protection for ferrous and non-ferrous components in contaminated or high-humidity environments.
Water separation. Rapid demulsibility at 82°C prevents emulsion formation, ensuring effective drainage of water contamination and protecting gear and bearing surfaces from corrosion fatigue.
Foam and air release. Low foaming tendency across all three ASTM D892 sequences maintains optimum oil film thickness and reduces the risk of wear and oil leakage from gear housings and reservoirs.
Seal compatibility. Compatible with common elastomeric seal materials used in industrial gear drive applications, minimising leakage and extending seal service life.

Applications

Sinopec L-CKD 320 Heavy Duty Industrial Gear Oil is recommended for slow-speed to moderate-speed enclosed industrial gear drives operating under heavy and shock loads where the OEM or maintenance schedule specifies an ISO VG 320 EP gear oil. Typical applications include large mill drives, rotary kiln drives, crushing equipment, heavy conveyor systems and heavily loaded gearboxes in mining, cement, aggregates and steel processing. Also suitable for plain and antifriction bearings and circulating oil systems in heavy industrial equipment.
