Separately, we verify the identity of individuals connected to the account, such as directors or guarantors, using the same or a similar agency. This is an identity check, not a personal credit assessment, and is carried out to confirm who you are and prevent fraud.

How we share personal information

  • With Shopify and service providers supporting payments, hosting, analytics, fulfilment and customer support
  • With Creditsafe, or another credit reference and identity verification agency, to assess business creditworthiness and verify identity when you apply for a trade account
